Map

The fishing area corresponds to the entire Galician northern fringe. The territory is framed between the Bay of Biscay, the Arbutus Coruña coast and the northern foothills of the mountainous alignments of the eastern and northern Galician sierras. It occupies the entire Galician Cantabrian coastline and the beginning of the Atlantic slope to the limit with the region of Ferrol. To a certain extent the sierras that are situated to the south (Cadeira, Pousadoiro, Carracedo, Lourenzá, A Toxiza, O Xistral, Montalén and the southern termination of Faladoira) give it a certain isolation, separating this zone from the other regions (Fonsagrada, Meira , Terra Chá and Eume).

The municipalities that form this Group are: Valdoviño, Cedeira, Cariño, Ortigueira, Mañón, Vicedo, Viveiro, Xove, Cervo, Burela, Foz, Barreiros and Ribadeo.
