III Blue Economy Awards

The Blue Economy Awards are a biannual event created in 2017 by the Conselleria do Mar to recognize the highlighted projects granted by the local developmental participative strategies (EDLP), approved for the Galician Fisheries Local Action Groups (FLAGs) with the objective to promote the sustainable development of the fishing zones enclosed in the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund (EMFF) 2014-2020.

The candidates were selected from those proposed by the Galician Fisheries Local Action Groups (FLAGs)

 

 

Which are the categories?

Which is the voting system?​

There are three candidate projects in each of the above categories and you can choose your favorite projects through this website.

Each person can vote for only one of the projects in each category. The project that receives the highest number of votes in each category will be awarded.

You will be able to vote your favorite projects from the 4th to the 25th of November.

The prizes, which will distinguish the most outstanding projects, will be awarded in an event to be held on December 1.

What type of projects does each category include?​

The purpose of this category is to promote projects that benefit small-scale coastal fishing, that promote sustainable food systems of fishery products that add value to these products, that affect the formation of new capacities, or that improve the management of resources or the organization. Click here if you want to know the candidates of this category

This category aims to support the circular economy related with the fisheries sector, specially projects of reuse, repair and recycling of the materials employed in the fishing activities, that will minimize the waste and pollution, and give an added value to fishing subproducts. Click here if you want to know the candidates of this category
