PROGRAM OF ACCESION TO THE COCINA ATLÁNTICA LABEL
“Cocina Atlántica” Label
As an identifiable and visible element of the philosophy embodied in the Accession Program, the Morada Atlántica project promotes the introduction of the label "Cocina atlántica" with the objective of promoting the dishes and products of the Atlantic Arc, being established as a guarantee of quality.
This label, therefore, will prove the singularity, tradition, proximity and traceability of the dishes and products that are promoted under this label, based on this promotional work in informing the final consumer about the benefits of its acquisition and consumption. These benefits of the labeling of dishes such as "Cocina atlántica" could be summarized in the following 5 points:
- Dishes and products with a long history, tradition, modes of elaboration and products of the territory in question (of local scope).
- Dishes and products of proximity, directly purchased from the local producer without - or considerably reducing - the intermediaries involved.
- Dishes and products that imply a reduction of the carbon footprint by eliminating long-distance transport altogether, due to the fact that indigenous local products are generated and / or processed locally.
- Dishes and products that involve a drastic reduction of the inorganic residues used in its elaboration and packaging, as a consequence of its traditional local origin.
- Dishes and products that promote the dissemination of local products, promoting the viability of the economy of the primary sector and ensuring the sustainability of traditional methods of work.
